By the grace of Allah Almighty, I am a Muslim. I dont wear veil or even chadar. Dress like normal women, working in a large organisation and enjoy as much rights as any other woman.
I offer prayers occassionally and I believe in religuous harmony. Never thought that I am a true muslim.
However, after seeing these cartoons and reading the comments, I feel a pain. A pain that makes me closer to my religion.
I dont believe in killing someome. But at least you people should do something to stop this maddness. What has done cannot be changed but why you are enhancing this rage by re-printing these cartoons???? When you know that some people are trying to exploit this issue then why r u people becoming a mean to support their campaign?
And then just look at the way you talk about religion, prophets and the holy books. I thought every religion - jews, christianity, hinduism, budhism taught love & respect. Now am thinking otherwise.

My first reason for publishing the 12 cartoons was to show how innocuous they are. Half of them - like the one above - don't even show the Prophet. Arne Sørensen has drawn himself and Bob Katzenelson has drawn Kåre Bluitgen.

Some of those that do show Mohammed are quite reverent and would thus be allowed according to many interpretations of Islam. Claus Seidel has drawn a humble prophet, Poul Erik Poulsen has combined Jesus' halo with the crescent moon and Franz Füchsel has a sensible Mohammed admonishing his warriors to moderation.

That's the second problem. If it wasn't for "some people", who have "internationalzed the issue", all 12 drawings would have been forgotten long ago, and nobody - including me - would have seen them.

As it is, a bunch of lying imams are spreading the three fake Mohammed cartoons, which they have produced themselves.

They have even shown them on BBC and al-Jazeera.

How can you know which cartoons are the fake ones produced by the imams? Unless I show you the genuine ones?

here is the thing, It is ok for people christen or not to draw cartoons of other religious icons such as Jesus, GOD, Moses and so on, I myself as a christen get upset at some of these but i realize that they are just a small minded person who feels the need to do these things to draw attention to themselves. I understand that it really offends the islam religion but it also offends the other religions when these things are done to us, but you don't see the rest of us attacking thoes people or coming up with a death list. we all need to rise above all of this hate for one another and understand that no one is going to change no matter what anyone else does or says. They need to realize that not evey non islam agrees with what was done.
 

If Islam is about love, the moslem fraternity could have just posted some knowledge to the cartoonist to correct him on his lack of understanding of the prophet. Or they could have doubted the sanity of the cartoonist not reacting like you have disturbed a bee hive. Now we are wondering if Islam as a religion does not have a dose of insanity in itself. I think people on this site are missing the point. I am not enthusiastic about the offending of 1.5 billion muslims in the world. Nonetheless, the criticism of religion, religious views, religious figures, morals etc, is not about emotional reaction, it is about secular truth and the pursuit of bettering society. The freedoms that many in the West take for granted were earned by those willing to be heretics, to stand against those who professed to not only know the absolute truth but those who enforced with the sword their beliefs, and through many years of battle and plight and spilling of blood, these advantages were won for you. Multiculturalism nullifies the significance of these people's sacrifices. It thrives not off the respect for reason and science and the criticism it allows to improve itself, but off the destruction of reason itself, and those who wish to retain standards for it, not to mention your culture. Again, I am not enthusiastic about offending people, but freedom comes at a price, make no mistake. If you can not criticize Muhammad or laugh at him can you criticize or mock Islam's moral teachings? How can you then expect to teach tolerance and assimilate those who come to your shores and demand that you submit? Do not think about your luxury today, think about those who will suffer gravely tomorrow from your complacency; those who will have to fight for their freedom to do the things you take for granted, the rights that you undermine with these ideologies and the sacrifices you ignorantly discard. Freedom of speech and expression are not only promised and secured for those we agree with. If we believe in freedom of expression for only those we agree with, we do not believe in it at all. We must all remember that if you do not fight for one's right to say and do such things today, by hurting some today, we make life worse for those who wish to tomorrow, and we erode away at the cultural conditions that give rise to rational, and dialectical progress, and we must see and cater to this ratio, so that we do not starve the lifeblood of progression. We must sometimes make some sacrifice now for bigger gains later. People, do not forget, that when you have an idea that you wish to be heard, a philosophy, a mathematical theorem, it must be heard by a willing society, for it to have a positive impact on humanity. If it is denied, censored, or destroyed it may be lost in the expanse of time forever. We can not, and must not afford this, as a species. We can not know truth before we know it, and that is precisely what religion claims. This is why we must respect and must demand respect for criticism, for free speech. It is through these processes that we reach better ideas. Surely it is not always the case, but it certainly increases the probability. Do not leave the destiny of humanity and our path to a bunch of uneducated fool Imams in the desert. You must fight for influence against those who would take it away from you, sometimes indefinitely, when you would charitable allow equal footing and influence for them.
