Franz Füchsel was one of the artists who in 2005 submitted his interpretation of the prophet Muhammed.
Füchsel has a long career behind him portraying everyday situations in Denmark. He later offered his original Mohammed cartoon for sale at an auction and then donated the proceeds (15,000 Danish kroner - approximately 2,200 USD) to Pakistan, which was at that time suffering from the aftermath of an earthquake.
I myself am lucky enough to own an original drawing by Füchsel (to the right). I don't know the context. The subtitle says, "I wonder what he voted for. He's been acting like that since the election".
